Two critical, but often overlooked parts of any open source project is bringing in new contributors and governance of how decisions are done. When you are so caught up in the day to day work of building new features and fixing bugs, it can be easy to put these on the back burner.
In the Cilium project, we are always trying to be proactive in creating the community that we want to be a part of. That's why this LFX cycle, I'll be mentoring a project on improving the documentation of Cilium's governance. This is hitting two birds with one stone, both brining in a new contributor to the project and brushing up our governance. If you know someone that would be a good fit or want to apply yourself, the application is now open. Help me make the Cilium community even better. Let's 🐝 gin!
