I'm currently coming back from KubeCon India and am in the interstitial space of transcontinental flights where time and space cease to exist (which is why you may receive this on either the 17th or 18th). What's keeping me awake waiting for my flight is the energy and excitement I felt at the event. I've been to 17 KubeCons, and for a first-time event, this one was something special. The Cilium booth didn’t see a dull moment, and the maintainers track? Standing room only. I’m already looking forward to seeing how the cloud native and Cilium communities continue to grow and thrive in India.

On the topic of growth, the eBPF Foundation Year in Review is out! It highlights the incredible progress we’ve made this year—spanning security analyses, academic research, upstream development, and more—and sets the stage for even bigger strides in 2025. As the eBPF ecosystem continues to mature, the work we’re doing now is laying the groundwork for new innovations, stronger security models, and even broader adoption across the industry. I have 200+ talks to review as track co-chair for KubeCon so let’s 🐝 -gin.
